The hNEA developed by Jost AG in collaboration with SUNCAR was presented last week at Energie Thun AG. There was a great deal of interest and many valuable questions were asked.

Among other things, the hNEA consists of a diesel engine with generator and a battery storage unit. The battery stores the electricity generated by the diesel engine and generator. When the battery is full, the diesel engine is switched off and the battery power is fed into the grid as required. The diesel engine only starts up again when the battery charge level falls below a defined value. The battery can also be recharged with surplus energy that is not needed at the moment from the connected power generation systems. This makes it possible to reduce diesel consumption and CO₂ emissions by 80 per cent during regular operation. This also significantly reduces noise pollution. The hNEA therefore makes a significant contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions and thus to the responsible use of resources.
